Media Module
A MediaOnDemand.com specialty, Media Modules are enhanced Webcasts that integrate audio, video, graphics, text, animation and interactive elements. The modules' special features enable users to easily navigate media content as well as visit Web sites that contain additional information and eCommerce opportunities.

Media Player
The software that enables computer users to see and hear streamed packets of data transmitted over the Internet. RealPlayer G2 and Windows Media Player are examples of media players.

Megabits Per Second (Mbps)
A rate of data transfer. One Mbps equals 1,048,576 bits per second.

Megabyte
A data measurement unit. One megabyte equals 1,048,576 bytes and each megabyte contains 8 megabits in a series of zeros and ones.

(MHz) Megahertz
Energy transfer is commonly measured in oscillations per seconds or hertz. One million hertz equal one megahertz.

Modem (Modulator / Demodulator)
A data communications device that converts digital signals into analog signals, enabling two end systems to communicate over telephone networks.
