An interactive index that serves as a navigation tool to guide
or link users to specific topics in a multimedia presentation
(also referred to as bookmarks).
Interface
A boundary across which two systems communicate. An interface
might be a hardware connector used to link to other devices, a
convention used to allow communication between two software
systems, or a graphic design that enables users to navigate
though content.
Internet Broadcast
The ability to view and hear video and audio over the Internet

Intranet
An internal network limited to authorized users that implements
TCP / IP protocols and other Internet protocols.
Internet Protocol
The underlying protocol for routing packets on the Internet and
other TCP / IP-based networks.
IP Address
A unique address that identifies host computer systems in a TCP
/ IP network environ-ment.
ISDN (Integrated Services Digital
Network)
An all-digital, circuit-switched telephone system that can be
connected to the Internet and transmit data at speeds up to 128
kilobytes per second.
ISP (Internet Service Provider)
A company that provides Internet connections.
Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG)
A compression method for storing graphic images that are more
than 256 bits of color. JPEG files are stored with the extension
'jpg.'
